Life-long toy collectors will walk you through their story of collecting — starting from an empty toy box, to building their collection, and then will go through the ‘stages of collecting’ – first focusing on loose, then packaged, variations, and then on to displays and prototypes.


Wayward Nerd: Traveling For Geeks
Travel the Nerdy Universe. Middle Earth, Tatooine, Hogwarts, Dharmaville – these places exist and you can visit them, even stay a while. Join us for a Wayward Nerd panel discussion on exploring the nerdy universe right here on earth. Whether you’re a science nerd, Star Trek geek, Batman fanatic, or flat-out Star Wars Jedi, there’s a trip out there for you, we’ll help you find it.


The Ex-Con, Voodoo Priest, Goddess, and the African King
A social, cultural, and political analysis of four black comic book heroes. Join the founder of the Afrofuturism Network, William Jones, as he breaks down the origins of four black comic book characters – Luke Cage, Papa Midnite, Storm, and Black Panther – and analyzes their representation throughout comic book history.


Power Ranger Villain Voice Actors
Barbara Goodson (the voice Rita Repulsa) and Kerrigan Mahan (the voice of Goldar) will discuss their larger than life roles from the massively popular series, Might Morphin Power Ranger, answer fan questions about these favorite “baddies,” and speak about their other voice acting work.


Zach Galligan Q&A
Zach Galligan is best known for his role as Billy Peltzer in the Steven Spielberg-produced 1984 blockbuster Gremlins and its sequel, Gremlins 2: The New Batch. He has also had roles in Law and Order, Star Trek: Voyager, 7th Heaven and Dr. Quinn, Medicine Woman.


Christy Carlson Romano Q&A
“Call me, beep me, if ya wanna reach me…” Christy Carlson Romano is one of the Disney Channel’s original household-name brands having been the first to act in three series’ that aired simultaneously; starring in Even Stevens, Cadet Kelly and attaining an Emmy-nomination for her animated Kim Possible.


2018 Cosplay Contest


 This year’s Cosplay Contest is sponsored by Dan Hopper – State Farm Insurance.

Participate, or just watch, as we hold our annual cosplay contest. This year, we’re combining both panel rooms to form one MASSIVE cosplay contest hall. Contestants will show off their cosplay for our judges and the audience.

This is our most popular event and space is limited. Once seats are full, we unfortunately cannot allow additional audience members to join us.

We’ll have two categories: Ages 16+ and ages 15 and under. We’ve also upped the prizes.

Ages 16+ Prizes:
1st Prize: $200 + a new iPad (provided by Dan Hopper -State Farm Insurance)
2nd Prize: $100
3rd Prize: $50

Ages 15 and Under:
1st Prize: $50 + BB8 Remote Toy (provided by Dan Hopper -State Farm Insurance)
2nd Prize: $20
